Starting this Friday, Art Center in Pasadena shows off its extensive, innovative Open House: Architecture and Technology for Intelligent Living exhibit. New spatial experiences, new systems of sustainability and new sensory enhancements ? Sign me up. Special bonus: the M&A team has constructed an installation on the exterior of the south campus Wind Tunnel. Complete with strobe lights, "House Swarming" mimics an infestation making its way into the building; if the functionality is successfully implemented, it will react to common contaminants in the air: cigarette smoke, car exhaust, perfume, etc. Must go, must see!
Up on the green roof of the Wind Tunnel you'll find sci-fi looking structures that are the brainchild of a German designer. Supposedly, they modulate the atmosphere in the building by absorbing heat. Jenna says that if the exterior ever gets punctured, an important German travels by special helicopter to repair it with a super-secret, patented tape.
The physical confines of our lives appear to be falling away, but I think we have to be really paying attention to notice! (Jane says we're about to enter the Age of Conceptualization...but I'm not quite sure yet what that means...)

The age of conceptualization sounds completely mental! Great catching up with you last night. I'm proud of you for trying out basketball! Also do you know how to post your picture with a comment?
In the Age of Conceptualization, I will surely not humiliate myself on the basketball court again. RE: profile photos w/comments - it's a preference setting on the blog, and mine is set to display photos...? :-(
