Happenings

News in the neighborhood:

* That Yarn Store in Eagle Rock has moved! Monthly happy hour knit, as well as classes and myriad exciting purchasing opportunities all take place on Eagle Rock Boulevard now, just below Colorado.

* This Saturday is again NELA night -- not to be missed.

* Dark Matter Research: Is it really a job, or an underground experiment? Occidental College has a position open -- are you qualified?

Working with the Physics Department Chair and faculty, the Postdoctoral Fellow in Dark Matter Research will be associated with the DRIFT collaboration. The DRIFT project is a collaborative effort to use a low pressure negative-ion TPC to search for WIMP dark matter. DRIFT is unique in its ability to reject background and detect WIMP dark matter.
